Previously, he reported from Iraq for The Washington Post, worked as Bob Woodward’s research assistant on the bestselling State of Denial, served in the Army JAG Corps and was a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, and co-founded a national legal magazine.
He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, Melissa.
